The composer Matti Murto has sensitively perceived the individual character and atmosphere of eachtune and created a comprehensive and well-constructed picture album in sound. The tunes are suitable forthe concert stage as well as readily accessible for young players. They are written in a register suitablefor an ordinary training accordion.

The level of playing varies from elementary to intermediate. Individual tunes can be combined to form aseries or a suite. Registration was left out on purpose, thus prompting performers to find the real pitchthrough their own musical understanding.
